By doing this they also decreased costs, risks and other burdens related to the use of parenteral medications. The panel will share first-hand experience on how agencies adopted the technology, trained staff, and changed clinical practice and culture. They will share extensive anecdotal experience along with evidence from studies related to comparative efficacy, comfort, cost and ease of use of the Macy Catheter versus parenteral options. An overview of palliative medication absorption via the rectal route will be discussed. Afterwards the panel will answer questions from participants. Please join us to hear these pharmacists share their experiences and expertise.
